Dragon fruit is as striking inside as it is outside, with a bright pink skin, green tips and speckled flesh full of tiny black seeds. Its taste is mild, lightly sweet and refreshing, with a texture like a soft pear.
Ways to use it
- Cut in half and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
- Cube into a fruit bowl with mango, papaya and lime.
- Blend into a smoothie with banana for a pink drink.
- Slice into rounds to decorate a plate or a dessert.
- Scoop out whole halves and use the skin as a bowl for fruit salad.
Storing it
Keep the whole fruit at room temperature, out of direct sun, and use it within a few days. Wash the skin under running water before cutting, so the knife does not carry dirt into the flesh. Once cut, keep it covered in the fridge and eat it soon.
Where it comes from
Grown to certified organic standards. The certificate for each lot is shown when you trace your pack.
Every pack will carry a lot code. Enter it on the Trace your pack page and you will see the farms in that lot, the harvest date and the certificate.
